This is a unique opportunity to play a key role within the Merch by Amazon supply chain.
We are looking for a passionate leader with proven experience in vendor sourcing, complex modeling, and collaborating with global stakeholders.
In this role, you will define and implement our global procurement strategy for raw material goods and services.
The right candidate is detail-oriented, builds strong relationships and has a relentlessly positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Candidate must have the ability to build and communicate complex procurement/sourcing strategies and demand/supply forecasts (inputs, outputs, rationale, gaps) with recommendations for senior management.
- Understand the technical requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of procurement and supply chain activities.
- Develop new analytical models for procurement/sourcing strategies and demand/supply forecasts based on segmented supply chain solutions.
- Execute strategic business objectives while working with key internal stakeholders to improve the supply chain component supply with the latest internal and external information.
- Prepare and provide detailed data-driven business reviews to senior management, focused on procurement/sourcing Ownership of detailed costed bill of material (BOM)- Drive strategic BOM reviews and qualifications with internal teams- Roadmap communications to component and cross functional teams- Determine customer needs- GAP analysis of needs versus deliverablesKeys to success in this role include exceptional analytic skills, judgment, and communication skills.
The candidate needs to be able to extract insights from data and be able to communicate clearly appropriate triggers and actions.
- Candidate will be focused on procurement management of raw materials and services- Candidate will be the procurement advocate for all tools and process development.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
