As a Behavioral Health Specialist - Behavior Analyst with our nonprofit, you're responsible for developing and implementing programs or activities designed to improve the lives of children with autism and their families.
You individualize each treatment plan according to the client's unique needs to assist in enhancing their quality of life by acknowledging weaknesses to overcome and strengths to build on.
Through routine communication, you encourage the client's family and friends to get involved in the client's treatment to help them maintain skills learned in therapy sessions.
In addition, you brainstorm ideas and develop procedures to expand and improve our autism services to continuously benefit our clients with special needs.
Using program criteria and standardized tests, you conduct assessments to identify the skill levels of our child clients as well as create evaluation reports incorporating assessment tools, caregiver reports, and professional reports.
You coach clients or family members on how to incorporate new skills into normal routines at home and in other natural environments, including school, childcare centers, church, playgroups, or a relative's home.
Based on the initial plan of care, you also develop short- and long-term treatment goals, plans, and objectives for your clients as well as make weekly updates to the plan based on your client's progress.
You provide training and support to help clients reach their goals as well as instruct clients and family members on the proper usage of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
You always ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures when engaging with clients and reporting their information.
As needed, you also provide supervision to our ABA trainees and serve as a case manager for students in our programs.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SPECIALIST - BEHAVIOR ANALYST Master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, or a related field Board certified and licensed as a behavior analyst Certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board to provide supervision At least 1 year of experience working with children with Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, OR the ability to learn independently Current driver's license and proof of insurance Covid-19 vaccination If you meet the above requirements, we need you.
