Position
Summary:
The Senior HRIS Analyst provides functional PeopleSoft expertise support to end-users regarding the HR/Benefits/Payroll modules as well as the Benefits Administration application. Responsibilities also include the diagnosis and resolution of errors and issues that occur with data, setups, processes, events, interfaces etc. The Sr HRIS Analyst is also responsible for designing queries and reports, end-user training, configuration and table maintenance and plays a key role in various projects as well as lead small projects. This position supports several core functional areas and acts as a liaison between end-users and internal information technology partners. This position also provides back up support to Ceridian/Dayforce Saas solution for Canadian Payroll as well as to the online enrollment solution for Benefits.

Primary Duties &
Responsibilities:
Conduct HRIS' fit/gap analysis and recommend new functionality
Write unit testing test scripts for functionality and programs/processes and reports
Execute unit testing of new functionality, existing functional and customizations
Document business processes, functionality, data conversion and system validation
Execute table configuration if applicable
Provide daily support and guide users during user testing
Work with IT Development to troubleshoot/resolve issues

Essential Functions:
Maintain in-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft core HCM application and Benefits Administration to provide full functional support to end users.
Manage table setups and configuration including, but not limited to, departments, job codes, companies, pay groups, leave plans, benefits plans, eligibility rules, etc,
Act as liaison with IT and functional users in creating and testing new programs, improvements, and implementing processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve errors and problems as they relate to Payroll, Benefits, HR, Benefits Administration or any other custom or delivered process, interface job or module in use by the company. Test and recommend resolutions to users.
Administer business rules within PeopleSoft HCM application.
Serve as key functional team member for upgrades, application of bundles, and tax updates to the HCM applications.
Coordinate testing to ensure that interrelated data and processes are thoroughly tested as well as to ensure proper testing is completed, so that required specifications are met with efficient, accurate, and quality information.
Provide insight of application capabilities and limitations for PeopleSoft users to effectively manage expectations.
Conduct audits to ensure data integrity. Communicate data issues to the data owners for resolution.
Work with IT and users to provide successful, reliable interfaces between HR system and external vendors.
Utilize HCM reporting tools to develop specialized HR reports on a scheduled or ad-hoc basis and meet deadlines for ongoing monthly reporting.
Utilize Excel and other applications to manipulate, analyze, and logically present data to end users at any level of the organization
Develop and provide user training for PeopleSoft, both as a result of upgrades and on an ongoing basis.
Manage small projects such as implementation of new functionality within PeopleSoft.
Act as a back-up to HRIS Manager for security administration.
Provide analysis and interpretation of report data as required.
Work on special projects assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related area or equivalent work experience
5 -8 years PeopleSoft HCM experience, using version 8.3 or higher and Ceridian/Dayforce knowledge a plus
Strong business knowledge in HR functions and processes such as HR, Benefits, Payroll, and Compensation
Strong understanding of PeopleSoft Payroll, Benefits, and HR Modules as well as the Benefits Administration application
Requires a strong understanding of a relational database
Experience writing complex queries using PeopleSoft Query Manager
Extensive knowledge of report writing and ability to create reports
Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work independently on projects of high complexity with minimal supervision
Experience developing and executing test scripts for various system changes such as bundles, enhancements, upgrades, tax updates, etc.
Advanced knowledge and use of Excel
Experience administering PeopleSoft security a plus
Requires strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
