Billing Specialist

We have partnered with our successful client in North Dallas to recruit an experience Billing Specialist preferably in the moving industry
oPrepares billing statements.
o Enters all codes into computer database.
o Collects and processes payments from customers.
o Documents insurance information and submits claims to insurance companies.
o Contacts insurance companies to check on claims and handles any discrepancies or problems.
o Inquires with insurance companies about denied claims or suspicion of insurance fraud.
o Provides information to collections agency when necessary.
o Reports issues, problems, and updates to a billing supervisor or manager.
o Addresses and resolves patient and customer inquiries and complaints.
o Assists customers in developing payment plans.
o Performs administrative and clerical duties, such as sorting, filing, and organizing.
o Maintains office records.
o Attends office staff meetings.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
o Possesses knowledge of billing and coding details specific to the profession.
o Pays close attention to detail.
o Possesses strong organizational skills.
o Must be able to multi-task efficiently.
o Communicates all billing information clearly to clients.
o Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
o Must have the ability to remain calm when dealing with frustrated or confused customers and claimants.
o Can employ basic mathematical skills.
o Demonstrates familiarity with billing software and basic office computer programs.
Education and Experience
o Work experience in the billing and coding field is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
