POSITION
Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst is an integral part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, which is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, trend analysis, and ad hoc analytical projects. This position is responsible for reviewing and reporting financial results, along with projections of where the enterprise is going financially and operationally, and make recommendations that will improve outcomes. A high level of analytical capability and solid understanding of financial concepts is required, enabling the Senior Financial Analyst to take initiative and function independently on a variety of both recurring and ad hoc financial and operational projects.

Primary Duties &
Responsibilities:
Create monthly financial results and annual budget presentations to management and owners by assembling and summarizing data, identifying trends, and communicating analyses and recommendations with a level of detail appropriate to the audience.
Analyze financial results by identifying drivers and variances from prior year, budget and forecast, and articulate recommendations that will improve future results.
Define key performance indicators, analyze and interpret financial and operational performance, and forecast performance related to strategic initiatives.
Develop and update models that provide insights into past and future financial and operating performance, capital investments, company growth, and expense management.
Build and update the short and long-term business plan according to strategic direction provided by the company's senior leadership.
Increase productivity by developing automated applications, eliminating redundant work, and coordinating information requirements across projects and processes.
Coordinate projects with other departments and devise solutions that facilitate the operating needs of all groups involved.

Job Requirements:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
Willingness to take initiative and provide recommendations that improve processes and results
Understanding of financial systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills that facilitate effective communication with internal customers, departments and other employees
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Work within the appropriate level of independence
Function in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Education BS in Finance or equivalent; MBA is an asset
Experience 5 - 7 years of experience in financial analysis functions/roles with documented analytical and results-oriented capabilities
Skills:
High degree of intellectual curiosity, initiative, and a background of continuous improvement.
Team player who will think strategically and effectively in all situations.
Ability to clearly communicate results of analysis and provide recommendations to business leaders at all levels, considering impacts to all parts of the organization.
Must be able to create positive work relationships within the team and with other departments.
Sound decision-making and judgment, taking initiative to move projects to move forward with minimal oversight.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
